Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou Achieves COBIS Patron’s Accreditation

Recently, Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou successfully obtained accreditation under the COBIS (Council of British International Schools) Patron’s Accreditation system. It now proudly stands as a COBIS Patron’s Accredited School, recognized as a distinguished member institution within the COBIS network.

Along with achieving accreditation Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou’s Kindergarten, Primary School, Middle School, and Sixth Form have all received the COBIS Patron’s Accreditation Certification. This accomplishment makes Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou one of only two schools in mainland China to receive this prestigious distinction. It highlights that, as a school offering a continuous 15-year education journey from Kindergarten to High School, Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou is well-equipped to provide support at the same high standards as leading schools in the United Kingdom for the development and growth of students at each stage.

COBIS, an acronym for The Council of British International Schools, was established in 1989 with the aim of promoting British-style education overseas and ensuring the quality of British international school branches worldwide. As an international organization, COBIS currently boasts over 450 member schools and institutions globally, spanning across more than 80 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.

According to the official COBIS website, Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou is one of only 16 member schools in mainland China. Notably, Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou is among the two schools in mainland China that have achieved the higher-level Patron’s Accredited certification, covering all levels from Kindergarten to Sixth Form. It stands as the sole representative in Zhejiang Province holding this distinguished accreditation.

In its third year since inception, Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou accomplished COBIS Patron’s Accreditation across all departments.
